When travelling
abroad, it’s important to look after your health. You should make sure you have
received the necessary vaccinations for your destination and know who to
contact in an emergency, but you should also ensure you’ve got travel health
insurance.

Travelling in Europe
|
|
| |
|
In most European countries treatment is not free. You should obtain a European
Health Insurance Card from the Department of Health (The E111 form is no longer
valid). An EHIC shows you are entitled to reduced cost emergency medical cover
within any European Economic Area or Switzerland, however you should also take
out travel health insurance to cover any costs.
